Mental Health Services

Coping with a mental health condition is often anything but easy—and it seems as though gender may play a significant role in the development of mental health concerns and an individual’s battle with mental health. For women, their perceptions of themselves, as well as the preconceptions of others, may influence how they choose to deal with mental health concerns. Women’s mental health is an important element in one’s overall well-being and contentedness, as it maintains cognitive alternates, emotional sanity, and balance of ourselves, lives, and relationships. When one is mentally balanced and at peace with themselves internally, they are practicing good mental health.

The Women Empowerment Council, in collaboration with the Counseling Unit, is delighted to announce that Friday is fully dedicated to the AU community females and their families and friends. Also, our services are extended to any female outside the campus (inside UAE) to visit the Counseling Unit for a free consultation.

Do not hesitate to visit the Counseling Unit in the J2 building, 1st floor, block B, or contact us at 067056813.
